I wanted to do a round up of all the pregnancy post partum and child related posts so that they all pop up in the same place for easy access. Everyone plays parenthood so differently and everyone’s situation is different so remember these are accounts and explanation of what we did but I love and trust others who did things differently. There are people the world over who parent brilliantly with little more than a blanket, and on so many of the decisions out there I think if we’re even weighing it up, seeking advice experience and input then we’re probably in a good place.
Birth Stories
Both my babies were born in hospital, Roey was a scheduled induction due to size, and Clayton was an unscheduled induction after my water broke. They were different stories but both births I scoffed down on food every moment I could cos I was so scared they’d stop me eating and I’d get hungry! They’re also both stories or Pitocin births without pain relief which I found no one tells you is a thing, there’s no badge of honor in an epidural free birth – but if it’s what you want and you’ve heard no stories of pitocin without an epidural, here are two so you know it could be your story.

Body Image in Pregnancy, Post Partum and Beyond
Beer, a Meltdown + the Perfect Post Partum Body Jared offered me a beer and I broke down. then wrote this post talking about changing my view on lifestyle post babes, and what defines the ‘perfect’ body for me now.
I’m sorry I posted that on Instagram (Why I don’t actually want to talk about getting back in my jeans.) Not least, because I then put on more and more weight post partum. I’m not the mum who drops weight as babies feed. And that’s ok.
The Perfect Body : A journey to refine the definition of ‘perfect body’ in different seasons of life, my hope was that this post could be framework for other people to be able to think the same way a little and write something similar to retrain their thoughts.
Physical Health Post Partum
Healing Diastasis Recti: I’m not an expert in this apart from having it badly (I could fit 4 fingers in my tummy between my abs! But I’m linking to the people who are to talk about what i’ve done two times around to help me.
My weekly workout routine: This has changed SO much since before kids. I miss the gym, not for calories burned but for the time alone, my solo morning routine before the sunrise. The mental space… but I love the routine I now have and appreciate it being perfect for this stage of life.
